Romain Grosjean has topped the first day of GP2 Asia Series debut in Dubai today.
Next weekend marks the opening of the first GP2 Asia Series Championship in Dubai. Today was the first time the 26 title contenders got their first real impressions of the circuit.
Adrian Valles on his FMS car set the pace in the morning session in
1:25.128 on a sand-covert track which prompted many drivers to wait
until the afternoon session to go for more laps. Frenchman and ART
Grand Prix driver Romain Grosjean topped the second session, setting
the fastest lap of the day with a 1:22.497, in front of another
Spaniard, Andy Soucek, who signed the second best lap time in both
sessions on his DPR car, closely followed by his compatriot Valles.
