Glenfords Racing today stamped their class on the Carrera Cup Championship setting the first, second and fourth fastest time in today's practice session.
Fastest again today was Alex Davison in the Glenfords-DeWalt GT3 Porsche, who has claimed pole position in every round this year.
Davison's time of 1:09.6527 on his 11th of 14 laps couldn't be bettered by the field and was pushed hardest by teammate and local driver Jonathon Webb in the Glenfords-Makita Cup Car with a 1:09.7774, the only two drivers to break the one minute ten barrier.
Just outside the 1:09's was Glenfords Racing's third Cup Car driver David Wall, from NSW, who currently leads the Rookie of the Year title in his Glenfords-Hitachi race car.
Wall's time of 1:10.2540 earned him fourth fastest time, again showing his talent that has impressed many this season.
"Today was a great result for the team, we had a really strong test here last week and it has paid dividends," Alex Davison said.
"It's great to see all the guys up the front and I know I'll have to be right on my game if I am to stay in front of them this weekend.
"The competition within our team is only going to benefit us and make us all go quicker.and we still have a bit of time up our sleeves as we have saved our tyres well so far."
Davison will be out to keep his pole position streak going tomorrow in qualifying, with his greatest threats coming from teammates in Webb and Wall.
Qualifying tomorrow starts at 1.05pm after another practice session at 8.50am. Race one begins at 4.20pm, while races two and three are on Sunday.
