Andy Robinson Race Cars PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 22 January 2008

Andy Robinson is one of the top Pro Modified drivers in the European drag championships. Andy has been involved with Drag racing for 30 years and is looking forward to the 2008 season when his 2500bhp 1953 Studebaker will take to the strip again both in England and Europe.

Andy’s Studebaker has some awesome stats 2500bhp, 0-60 in less than 1 second. Last year he set a personal best of 6.161sec at the FIA European finals which gave him second only beaten by Michael Lindahl who achieved a 6.11 second. Hopefully this season Andy will be able to stretch the engine and find that last 0.05sec and bring home the FIA European championship.

In order to finance his racing Andy runs his business Andy Robinson Race Cars, building race cars for customers, custom built roll cages for self fitting, engine build and service as well as supplying parts to racers across Europe. PAC springs are a prestigious US supplier of suspension and valve springs for both street and racing applications. Andy Robinson Race Cars have become UK agents for PAC valve springs after using them exclusively in the ARRC Pro Mod Studebaker during the 2007 season with no failures or degradation. Many top US Drag Racing teams are regular users of PAC springs, particularly in the Pro Stock class but also in fuel and alcohol classes.

The springs are available in dual or triple configurations in a wide variety of sizes and spring rates to suit most applications.

The quality of the PAC product is based on their TechCenter, an advanced technical resource with facilities located in-house which include:

  • 3D Solid Modelling, Motion Analysis and Finite Element Analysis
  • X-Ray Residual Stress Analysis
  • Material Testing
  • Scanning Electron Microscope with EDAX
  • Strain Gauge Capability
  • Durability Laboratory
  • Engine Test Facility
