Croft Circuit Announces 2008 Dates PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 24 January 2008

Both local and national motorsport fans of all disciplines can look forward to another great season with a wide variety of events all set to take place at Croft Circuit, near Darlington in 2008.

Once again, the three most popular motorsport championships in the country head to the North Yorkshire track with British Superbikes, British Touring Cars and the British F3 and GT series all taking centre stage while the calendar is complimented by a range of club and national class racing throughout the year.

Changing from it’s previous August date, the increasingly popular British Superbike Championship takes place over the weekend of September 12th to 14th as some of the world’s best two wheeled stars converge on the tricky 2.13 mile international circuit and also seeing a welcome resurgence, the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship visits Croft on May 31st and June 1st. The F1 stars of tomorrow in British F3, combined with the awesome GT Championship, get to race over the weekend of 26th and 27th April and to round the year off, the spectacular Rallycross Superprix is scheduled to bring in a host of foreign stars on October 26th.

The MSA British Sprint Championship heads for Croft on Easter Monday (March 24th) and a double header on July 6th sees competitors in both the British and Rallycross Open Championships square off the day after Sir Elton John plays at the nearby Darlington FC Arena!

In addition, there are rounds of numerous club championships on two, three and four wheels with the action recommencing this weekend (3rd February) with the Croft Historic Rally and finishing with the festive favourite, the Specsavers Christmas Stages Rally, provisionally on Sunday 28th December.

Also, there is a range of track day dates for both bikes and cars, the various Driving Experiences and new for 2008, the ARDS race driver training courses. For further details on these activities, discounted advance ticket sales and admission charges, please visit www.croftcircuit.co.uk or ring 01325 721815.
