He passed his
driving test at 17 after only two hours of lessons, won three major British
Karting championships in the past few years and in his first test in a
single-seater at Bedford Autodrome yesterday (23.1.08) he set an amazing lap
time of 65.47!
Adam Foster from Wotton in Bedfordshire, also known as the "Flying Finn" as he
is half Finnish, is looking to enter the Formula Palmer Audi Championship this
season. After nine years of Karting against fellow FPA competitors; Wilson,
Brundle and Moore, Adam is ready to step up to single-seaters.
"My first
test was awesome, the car was quick and although it was heavier than what I am
used to with karts, it was incredibly fast and I felt right at home. I know some
of the lads who did FPA last year; Will Bratt, Richard Plant and Richard Kent
and when I told them the lap time for my first outing in a single-seater they
were a bit jealous and wanted to know how I did it! I like being chucked in at
the deep end so if I can secure the sponsorship to sign up for FPA this year I
am ready for the challenge. The FPA is a fantastic spring-board to get
recognised in this sport, it has a fantastic calendar with Formula 1 circuits to
race at and everyone takes it seriously."
