Formula Master’s growing
association with Japanese car manufacturer Honda has resulted in an amazing
prize for this year’s Series Champion: a test in the Honda Racing F1 Team’s
RA108 car.
Announced during the 2008 car
launch at the Honda Racing F1 Team’s headquarters in Brackley, UK, the Series
was represented by founders Mauro and Monica Sipsz who confirmed the 2008
Formula Master Championship prize along with the Honda Racing F1 Team’s Sporting
Director Ron Meadows.
“We
are happy to announce our new partnership with the Formula Master Series and the
opportunity for their champion to spend a day with the team,” said Meadows who
is responsible for Honda’s Young Driver Programme.
“Honda takes its commitment to
developing promising young talent in motorsport very seriously and we look
forward to working closely with these young drivers and helping them to progress
to the very highest levels of our sport.”
Partnering the FIA World Touring
Car Championship for the second year running, Formula Master is quickly
establishing itself as a significant racing option.
“Our
2008 season hasn’t even begun yet,” said Mauro Sipsz. “Entries are still open,
and already we are able to announce important news such as this Formula One
test. This gives great credibility to the Series and shows the trust the Honda
management already holds in Formula Master.
“There is great potential for our
future champion with this opportunity and I would like to personally thank Honda
for the beginning of this partnership.”
