Success is often in the detail – where,
even a small thing can make a massive difference to a driver’s fortunes.
And once again the light weight, neat
Magura brake system has significantly contributed to three young karters’ success.
On 17th February, Sam
Blake took victory in a drama-packed KF3 final at Shenington (right, in action).
This followed his two 4th
places and a 3rd at PFI the previous weekend.
Sam says “I’ve had Magura brakes fitted to each of my last three chassis and
find they provide me with much more confidence to brake later and under greater
control.”
Meanwhile at Glan Y Gors, James Theodore was making his
senior Rotax class debut.
After fitting the Magura 908.1 on his Tonykart EVX chassis, James won the first heat
and recorded the fastest lap. In heat 2, he again set the fastest lap before finishing
2nd. And it was third time lucky, as he was once more the fastest
man on the track, taking 2nd in the Final.
James says “A properly set up Magura system will give you
a brake that gives the same feedback at the last bend, which you had at the
first bend. The Magura brake system helps you gain places, which wins races.”
Andrew Laurence echoed
Sam and James in praising his Magura for helping him onto the podium, after driving
his Junior Rotax to 2nd place at Fulbeck on 24 February.
The Magura 908.1’s
light, four pad self-adjusting system, will give you more stability under
braking, the ability to brake later and with greater
control - leading to increased acceleration and a better overall performance. In
control classes, like Rotax, it’s the legal performance advantage.
