The team lines up the Italian National F3 champion at the F3000 common test PDF Print E-mail

Matteo Cozzari is the first driver selected by TP Formula for the Euroseries 3000 common test to be held in Vallelunga on March 10th and 11th.
The young Italian driver, born in 1990, started his career in karting and then moved to singleseaters when he was only 14, testing with a F.Renault 2000 car. In 2006 he was selected by the Italian Federation to compete in the Formula Azzurra championship for the Team Italy, which was part of a Driver Development Program. After just one year Cozzari moved to Formula 3 winning, at his debut in the Series, the title in the National class. Thanks to this success he was also awarded as one of the most promising Italian Drivers in the annual Autosprint prize-giving ceremony.

This is the second experience in Formula 3000 for Matteo, who already got a first contact with the Lola B06/50 Zytek in Magione last November.

Gianluca Pomozzi: "We already had the opportunity to appreciate his talent in the
“F.3000 Experience test days” and we are now happy to offer him a new opportunity. In November he only made a few laps but we were surprised by how fast he understood the car and by his professional approach in collaborating with the team."

Matteo Cozzari: "I had the chance to work with Traini and Pomozzi staff at the Magione
test and to build a very good relationship with all of them. My feeling with the car was also good so I’m now looking forward to this test with great enthusiasm. I thank TP Formula for this opportunity and will try to start the 2008 season at the best in Vallelunga.”
