The
two test days of Euroseries 3000 that have taken place on the roman track in
Vallelunga hve been hampered by rain and bad weather and this has not allowed
the teams with their eleven cars to carry out the tests as they wanted to
prepare for the first season randez-vous.
Howewer,
notwithstanding the rain, some of the drivers have taken advantage of the few
moments in which the bad weather has somehow relented, to score a few good
timings. At the end of the tests the best result is for Luis Razia with Cervesa
Sol ELK Motorsport (1'24''433) . And he's once again the man to beat!
Great performances also for the GP Racing drivers
Fabio Onidi (1'24''623) and Marcello Puglisi (1'25''543), so it has been for
the frenchman driving the second Cerveza Sol ELK Motorsport : Nicolas Prost who
has had the third best performance.
Positive results also for the young driver of Durango
Omar Leal who using the potentialities of his car at best has made 1'25''684,
placing himself fifth before the ex- European F.3000 Champion Giacomo Ricci. The latter called by Ernesto Catella to
develop the car. Behind him also the Brasilian Fabio Beretta with the third ELK
Motorsport (1'27''388).
Between the two young rookies of Playteam Celso Miguer
(1'27''628) and Alessandro Pierguidi (1'28''242) has his placement the Emmebi
driver Francesco Dracone ( 1'27''781) to follow the seventeen-year-old Matteo
Cozzari with TP Formula (1'31''582) and Ramon Zapata with the second Emmebi. Zapata has unfortunately been hindered
quite heavily by the bad weather conditions so he was not able to reach his
collegues' performances.
Due to these bad weather conditions, on the thursday
precedine the first championship race, teams and drivers will again be on the
track in Vallelunga for yet another test session.
In
the F.3000 paddock has entered also the "Motorhome, the new "home"
of Euroseries 3000, being right from the start the new point of reference for
drivers and teams and who have said themselves to be enthusiastic about the new
idea.
Luiz Razia - Cerveza Sol
ELK Motorsport
"I'm
very happy with my performance and with the team with which I get along
perfectly. The weather has been a bit of a drag even
though on the second day we have succeeded in carrying out almost all of our
programme. Notwithstanding these good results, we still have to work hard to
improve the car for the first race"
Fabio Onidi – GP Racing
" The first day we haven't found the right setup due to the
weather, on the other hand, today I've been able to complete a lot of runs thus
finding a right balance. These two days have been very important for me because
I got to know the team even better"
Nicolas Prost - Cerveza Sol ELK
Motorsport
I'm really
satisfied of the work done in these two sessions together with my team. Unfortunately the rain has hindered us quite a bit, even
though today I've been able to make a good time and to be more confident both
with the car and with the team"
