Reigning champion squad VX Racing and driver Tom Onslow-Cole will greet
the public at HiQ’s Grays store in Kent this Thursday night (27 March)
for a fun evening of motor sport ahead of the weekend’s opening HiQ MSA
British Touring Car Championship rounds at the nearby Brands Hatch
circuit.
VXR will have on display one of its BTCC title-winning Vauxhall
Vectra VXRs. Onslow-Cole will sign autographs and he and his team will
also take part in a question and answer session.
As
well, ten pairs of Brands Hatch BTCC tickets will be up for grabs and
touring car race game simulators provided for fans to play on. HiQ will
even lay on a barbeque for those attending*.
The
event will run from 6.30pm-8.30pm. HiQ’s store is on London Road, Grays
with parking available in the nearby Morrisons supermarket car park.
HiQ’s
Neil Burrows said: “Our HiQ centre will have a real carnival
atmosphere, featuring some electric sights and sounds. We want as many
people as possible to come and soak it up."
HiQ’s
title sponsorship of the BTCC – agreed for the next three years – will
play a key role in promoting the company’s ambitious programme of
development which is set to change the way ‘fast fit’ is delivered in
the UK. HiQ is a sister company to Dunlop, which has backed the BTCC
since 2005 as title sponsor. Dunlop is continuing as official tyre
supplier to the BTCC.
Burrows added: “HiQ has
begun an ambitious programme, not only to simply change the look of its
centres, but make a fundamental change to the way fast fit is delivered
in the UK. Partnering with the country’s biggest motor sport
championship will help us communicate with our target audience and
promote the scale of the investment in the HiQ network.”
