As the next stage in the CAMS Organisation Review Process, there will be a number of explanatory and consultative sessions held in the course of the next week.
CAMS President Colin Osborne is keen to reassure CAMS members that the presentations are intended to be information sharing and feedback sessions and not decision making forums.
“The presentations are specifically targeted at putting the Boards’ current blueprint for change to the membership and key stakeholders,” said Osborne.
“The forums are not about pushing through change outside of established constitutional processes but will provide valuable feedback to assist in the decision making process.”
While in some cases a number of the decisions arising from the blueprint will not require state council endorsement, the Board and CEO are eager to keep all CAMS members informed about the proposed changes that will take place across all levels of the organisation.
“We are keen to solicit members’ feedback and these forums are an important step in this process,” said Osborne.
Final arrangements for these presentations are currently being made and attendance is encouraged. For members in remote or regional centres or others who can’t attend, an overview report of the Board’s proposals will be available for consideration and feedback.
