Darren Turner and reigning Teams champion SEAT Sport UK will welcome
fans at HiQ’s Whittlesey Road store in Peterborough this Thursday night
for ticket give-aways ahead of Rockingham’s rounds of the HiQ MSA
British Touring Car Championship on Sunday (13 April).
The centre will be open to the public from 6.30pm-8.30pm, with an
action-packed evening of entertainment lined up – race simulators will
be available for enthusiasts to compete against one another and HiQ
will lay on a barbeque for those attending.
Turner,
one of the top drivers in Britain’s premier motor racing series and
also a leading light for Aston Martin in the world-famous Le Mans 24
Hours race, will be around to answer questions and sign autographs
between 7pm-8pm.
Also on display will be one of
SEAT’s new 2008-spec Leon TDIs which Turner and team-mate Jason Plato
are racing in this year’s BTCC.
And there will be a chance to win one of ten free pairs of tickets to Rockingham’s BTCC race day.
This
will be the second HiQ/BTCC motor sport forum, following a successful
pilot event prior to Brands Hatch’s opening rounds at Grays in Essex.
Similar
events are planned for future meetings, with a HiQ in Nottingham
(location TBA) already earmarked for the week prior to Donington Park’s
BTCC race day (Sunday 4 May).
Each event is part
of HiQ’s title sponsorship of the BTCC which will play a key role in
promoting the company’s ambitious development programme – set to change
the way ‘fast fit’ is delivered in the UK.
