Star names Darren Turner and Mike and Andrew Jordan will welcome fans
to HiQ’s flagship Nuthall Road store in Nottingham for a motor sport
forum on the Thursday evening prior to Donington Park’s British Touring
Car Championship rounds.
The event, on Thursday 1 May, is the third to be hosted by BTCC
title sponsor HiQ and is expected to generate considerable interest
among the public.
BTCC Series Director Alan Gow
will also be present and HiQ is hopeful of announcing a fourth top
driving name in the near future.
SEAT ace Turner
and the Jordans – father and son and also John Guest Racing team-mates
– will be present from 6.30pm-8.30pm, taking part in question and
answer sessions with fans as well as signing autographs.
Both
their teams will have versions of their BTCC race cars – SEAT Sport
UK’s Leon TDI and John Guest’s Honda Integra – on display.
And
there will also be a chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets to see
the BTCC in action at Donington on Sunday 4 May or to buy additional
tickets at discounted prices.
In addition, HIQ
will lay on a free barbeque and light refreshments for visitors while a
touring car race simulator game will add to the entertainment.
HiQ’s
BTCC spokesman Neil Burrows said: “We are really going all out for our
most successful event yet and we want as many people to attend as
possible.
“Our motor sport forums give people the
chance to learn about HiQ, the BTCC and a chance to speak to some of
the star drivers. We are delighted to be staging one of these forums at
our award-winning Nottingham store and we can’t wait to kick off the
event.”
