Launch of Best Driving Style Award

In just a month and a half the GP2 Series 2006 Prize Giving Ceremony featuring the 5th Annual Winning Attitudes Awards Charity Dinner will be held at the exclusive Sporting Club Monza, Italy. The event is focused on the primary developmental series for Formula One, and is organised by the GP2 Series and the Gonzalo Rodriguez Memorial Foundation (GRMF).

As in previous years, 14 Awards will be handed out, including those for Best Team Communications, Best Team Strategists, Driver Personality of the Year, Overtaking Manoeuvre of the Year, Engineer of the Year and Truckie of the Year, among others. The Awards are voted for by the event’s independent Jury comprised by a panel of experts among GP2 and F1, but there is one award that will be decided by the fans all over the world: Best Driving Style.

Fans can start voting now on www.gp2series.com and the deadline to vote is August 20th.

The GP2 Series and GRMF will host this season finale event on Sunday September 10. The charity event has become a tradition over recent years and it is a recognition of the leading lights in the GP2 Series, F1´s leading feeder category. On that day the championship trophies will be awarded and tributes will be paid to a much missed driver and person, Gonzalo Rodriguez.
