Whether you
are a fan of two or four wheel motorsport, you can’t afford to miss the Team
Trimite Brookspeed showcase at Coopers Square shopping centre on Thursday
22 May. Team Trimite Brookspeed will present its new Ducati 1098R British
Superbike alongside the mighty British GT Dodge Viper before the team heads off
to contest the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at
Rockingham, near Corby.
In the two
short months since the premier motorsport team last visited the leading
Burton-upon-Trent shopping centre the Southampton-based outfit launched its
first ever team to compete in the Daily Star Cup within the 2008 Bennetts
British Superbike Championship.
Leon
Morris (Stockbridge), who is also
facing the challenge of his first full season in the UK’s
biggest domestic racing championship for the fledgling team, will be making his
first visit to Coopers
Square and will be available throughout the day to
pose for photographs and sign autographs. Already hot property in the premier
series, Leon scored third in
the Daily Star Cup in what was only his third Bennetts British Superbike round
at Oulton
Park, on 3-5
May.
Currently
lying fourth in the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at the wheel of the Team
Trimite Brookspeed Dodge Viper, James Gornall (Peterborough) will make a welcome return to Coopers Square to
join Leon in meeting
Burton
motorsport fans.
If that wasn’t
all, shoppers could be in with the chance of winning fantastic race day tickets
to either the Bennetts British Superbike rounds at Donington Park or the Avon Tyres British GT
Championship rounds at Rockingham for Monday 26 May. Simply pick up a
Coopers
Square free prize draw entry form in-centre and post
it in the competition post box in the Main Square.
Dave
Chadfield, Coopers Square Centre Manager, commented: “I have a keen interest in
both two and four wheel motorsport so it is with double the excitement that I
welcome the newly expanded Team Trimite Brookspeed once again to Coopers Square.
Burton has a
long history of association with two and four wheel motorsport so I’m sure that
many of you will want to come and see some sensational racing machines and enter
the double free prize draw to make it a tyre-screeching Bank Holiday Monday to
remember.”
To complete
your adrenalin fuelled visit to Coopers Square, take a pitstop at
Woolworths, Game, Game Station and HMV to find the latest in motorsport gaming,
from Scalextric to the PS3. If you are
planning to ignite your motorsport passion at either Donington Park or Rockingham, you’ll want to look
the part, so take a lap around Coopers Square to clock the leading fashion
and jewellery stores.
