N.Technology's
preparations for the team's first
outing in the 2008 FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at Valencia on 17-18 May 2008 made good progress following
today's WTCC official testing session
at a dry and sunny Oschersleben, Germany, where the team recorded the
third fastest time of the day
Testing the Honda Accord Euro R Super 2000, developed together
with JAS Motorsport, the team mainly focused general shakedown processes with
British driver James Thompson at the wheel.
"These two days at Oschersleben make
up the last test before we race in the WTCC," said Thompson. "Each time, step by
step, we progress towards being competitive at Valencia. There
is definitely more development to the car and a lot more to come from it, but
the potential of the car is great.
"We can't compare ourselves to other
teams at the moment, we don't know how the others are testing but we look
forward to Valencia to understand our real
position. At the moment, we are optimistic and look to challenge the front of
the field."
