In a rut? Get a racier outlook on life PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 07 May 2008
Are you stuck in a rut and not enjoying your current job? Is life catching up with you and you want to achieve bigger and better things?
The average worker in Britain spends 1,652 hours per year at work. With summer finally arriving in the UK what better time to evaluate your life and make a few changes. With a little bit of help from Vauxhall, you could be on your way to becoming a racing driver with a chance to travel to locations across the UK and meet famous motorsport faces.
The only qualification necessary? You need to be aged 21 or over and have never held a MSA racing driver license.
So if you are tired of wasting time in traffic on motorways and would prefer to spend it racing around a circuit in a fully race-prepared Astra VXR enter the 2008 VXR Racing Driver of the Year competition.
Last year, 10,000 people entered Vauxhall’s competition and John Allison, a
34-year-old mortgage consultant from Beverley, Yorkshire, took home the grand prize of a fully-funded race drive in 2008. John started his new career two weeks ago and has already impressed his team and Vauxhall with his speed and ability on the race track.
For your chance to fulfill that lifelong racing dream, simply visit www.vxrdriver.co.uk to fill in the online questionnaire by 27 June 2008. From this, 1,620 successful applicants will be put through their paces in the karting semi-finals, before 15 finalists are selected for the intensive three-day final.
