Ipswitch's Riverlink shopping centre to host drag stars ahead of Castrol Edge Winternationals |

Drag racing fans will have the chance to meet up with their favourite quarter-mile pilots at Ipswich's Riverlink Shopping Centre this Thursday night as the Castrol EDGE Winternationals kick off nearby at Willowbank Raceway.
To launch the Queen’s Birthday weekend celebrations (June 5-8), a number of the Group One stars will meet up with fans to sign autographs and answer questions on the opening night of what is the largest Drag Racing event held outside North America.
The Top Fuel machine of local Steve Read will be on display, and drivers from Top Fuel, Top Alcohol, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle and Top Bike will be on hand to help launch the season-ending event.

- Miracle racer Phil Lamattina - survived mammoth crash at 2007 Willowbank Raceway Nationals
- Darren Morgan - Top Fuel racer, currently third in championship, 2004/2005 Australian Top Fuel Champion
- Local Top Fuel star Steve Read
- Callum Godeassi - Pro Stock Motorcycle competitor – third in championship
- Athol Williams - Kiwi Top Bike competitor
- Aaron and Tyronne Tremayne - Pro Stock front-runners (Aaron has wrapped up 07/08 championship, Tyronne is currently third and only 10 points shy of second).
- Steve Reed - Top Alcohol, currently 5th in standings, one of the famous Brisbane-based Reed family of Top Alcohol
- Brett Stevens - Top Doorslammer, Top Alcohol and Top Bike - leading Top Alcohol, second in Top Doorslammer and third in Top Bike currently, recently ran first ever five second pass at Willowbank Raceway.
- Kath Stevens - Top Doorslammer - wife of Brett Stevens, ran first ever five second pass at Sydney in February
- Steve Packman - Top Doorslammer
- Peter Cochrane - leading Pro Stock Motorcycle championship
- Lucky Belleri - drag racing identity, Top Doorslammer team owner

As the Castrol EDGE Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway kicks off with day one of the three and a half day program (June 5-8) some of the stars will be on-hand at Riverlink Shopping Centre to chat to the fans and sign autographs.
On display will be the Steve Read Top Fuel dragster, and fans can take the opportunity to have posters signed, take photos, listen to Q and A sessions or have a chat to their favourite drivers.
