Plato Wins Croft Race One PDF Print E-mail

Jason Plato has won the first of today’s (Sunday) three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire.

Plato’s SEAT team-mate James Thompson had led all the way until Plato passed him for victory on the final lap. Thompson set the fastest lap of the race.

Series leader and reigning champion Matt Neal recovered from two brushes with rivals to take third in his Team Halfords Honda.

Team RAC team-mates Colin Turkington and Robert Collard moved up to take fourth and fifth positions when Vauxhall's Fabrizio Giovanardi fell away to sixth in the closing stages.
