Jonathan Legris, Team West-Tec's 2008 Spanish F3 stand-out, will be
joining the British F3 Championship on the Brands Hatch GP circuit on
July 12th/13th after agreeing terms to drive the exciting Litespeed F3
car in the National Class.
Having wowed Formula 3 aficionados so far this year with stunning
results in an eight year old Dallara, including two outright second
places at Spa along with a new lap record, and other podiums at both
Jarama and Albacete, Jonathan is well placed to use his talent and F3
experience to help develop the Litespeed chassis, which made a
promising debut at Snetterton last month.
Jonathan Legris: I am really looking forward to this and I?d like to
thank Nino and Steve at Litespeed for having faith in me and also for
John and Gavin at West-Tec for arranging it for me.
John Miller, West-Tec principal: We are delighted to see Jonathan add
a further string to his bow, alongside his existing Spanish F3
commitments. We are interested in British F3 ourselves and you have to
admire Litespeed for having the determination to bring another chassis
to the grid.
We are interested in their project for the long-term and we will be
doing all we can to support Jonathan in these first steps. It is also
possible that another of our drivers, Christian Ebbesvik, will be
involved in testing as they seek to develop their car to show its full
potential ahead of a championship challenge next season.
