This coming weekend, Kieren Clark, the 19-year-old dynamic racing driver from Cambridge, will be competing at the Snetterton rounds of the popular Formula Renault UK series, spurred on by the performances of current formula 1 stars and previous Formula Renault graduates, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen and Heikki Kovalainen at last weekends Silverstone GP.

Formula Renault UK is a support race to the incredibly popular British Touring Car Championship weekend, and huge crowds are expected with live TV coverage on ITV4.

As well as rounds 13 and 14 on Sunday, Saturday will see the running of round 10, postponed from a waterlogged Croft weekend.

KC is all set for the race weekend, “I quite like Snetterton, and had a very good test session here last week, so I’m up it. I start the Croft race from 15th, so not my best qualifying position, but I aim to be qualifying better in the 2 sessions for the Sunday races. I know that’s where I need to improve, my races have been good, but it wont hurt to get closer to the front at the start! It’s been a month since my last race, so cant wait to get back on track.”

Qualifying will take place on Saturday 12th with the postponed race at 17.40.

Rounds 13 and 14 will then follow on Sunday, 13th July, at 09.40 and 15.35. The second race is also expected to be shown on Freeview, cable and digital satellite channel ITV4 as part of the station’s live afternoon broadcast from Snetterton.

As well as the thrilling BTCC SEAT / Vauxhall / BMW / Honda clash, support races include, Renault Clio’s, Porsche Carrera’s, Ginetta Junior’s and SEAT Cupra championships.
