More Yokohama Advan Racers Than Ever For The Nurburgring LMS Grid PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 14 July 2006
Following the success of the Yokohama runners at the epic Le Mans 24 Hours last month, more cars than ever are on Yokohama ADVAN tyres for the Le Mans Series endurance race in Germany this weekend.

Once again in the premier LMP1 class Yokohama is represented by the Courage Competition team running two Courage LC 70 Mugens. In GT2 Seikel Motorsport will be looking for another strong result after the team took to the Le Mans podium wearing Yokohama caps for their second place finish. At the wheel of the Seikel Motorsport Porsche were Dominik Farnbacher, Pierre Ehret and Lars Erik Nielsen, all of whom are driving with Farnbacher Racing’s two car entry here at the Nurburgring. They are joined by Marco Seefried and both cars have switched to running on Yokohama.

The conditions are hot here in the German mountains, as it was for the 24 Hour race in France where the teams were all delighted with the tyre performance so good results on Sunday are a distinct possibility.

The action starts tomorrow with practice sessions at 09.00 and 13.00 with qualifying at 16.30. The six hour race starts at 11.45 on Sunday. (All times are local/ CET). Extensive coverage to follow the progress of the Yokohama teams is shown on Motors TV.
