Great Britain’s Adam Carroll goes into the start of a hectic month of
racing with three rounds in the next four weeks, kicking off this
weekend in France.
After a month long break in the GP2 championship whilst Formula One
crossed the Atlantic, the Racing Engineering driver is desperate to get
back behind the wheel and build on a positive weekend at Silverstone.
Pole position, a 2nd and a 3rd place saw Carroll claim 13 points from
his home round.
Since then all the GP2 teams tested at Paul Ricard in the south of
France. Racing Engineering and Carroll made the best use of the time
working on set-up as opposed to speed. Now, he feels he can get back to
his winning ways of last season.
“This weekend will be the test to see if the work we did at Paul Ricard
will help me get to the top step of the podium again. We had a good run
at Silverstone before the break and I’m really looking forward to the
second half of the season.
“Magny Cours is a circuit which I like and I’ve done well in the past
here. In fact this is where I had my first car race. It is a real mix
of fast and slow sections and all in all it’s a good circuit to drive.”
