Toyota
Motorsport GmbH will have a new official clothing supplier from 2009
after agreeing an exciting new partnership agreement with fashion and
board sports brand Chiemsee.
As
part of the agreement, Panasonic Toyota Racing staff will wear a
Chiemsee-designed range of clothing to all Grands Prix and Formula 1
activities, while the company's logo will appear on the drivers'
overalls, team clothing and in the team garage.
The
team's official clothing will have a fresh new look, combining the
extreme high quality necessary in Formula 1 and the pioneering spirit
embodied in all Chiemsee products. The multi-year partnership will
begin in January 2009.
To
inaugurate the partnership, drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock met
Chiemsee brand ambassadors for an exclusive look at the products and
attitude which have become Chiemsee's trademark. Rights-free photos of
Jarno and Timo experiencing the Chiemsee lifestyle can be found on
www.toyota-f1-world.com, in the ‘events' section of the Image Library.
Toyota
Motorsport Chairman Tadashi Yamashina said: "We are very pleased to
welcome Chiemsee to our team as official clothing supplier and we are
proud to be associated with a youthful and innovative brand. Toyota
Motorsport and Formula 1 provide a unique platform to promote the
Chiemsee brand to a massive global audience and we will work hard to
ensure the partnership is a success for Chiemsee and Toyota Motorsport.
Image is important in Formula 1 so, thanks to Chiemsee, I am sure we
will be one of the best dressed teams in the paddock."
Stefan
Biergans, CEO of Chiemsee, said: "At Chiemsee we are expanding our
horizons and this association is a major step. We feel proud to be
associated with Toyota Motorsport and their Formula 1 challenge. Toyota
Motorsport is the perfect partner for us because they are also a
German-based company which started small but grew to take on a truly
global challenge. We are both incredibly passionate about our business
and I am convinced we will enjoy great times in the future."
