Airwaves Ducati riders Shane Byrne and Leon Camier will be joining
fellow British Superbike riders this Wednesday 6th August to take part
in ‘Superbikes in the Square’ - a special demonstration in the city of
Glasgow.
The event in George Square is a fantastic opportunity for fans to see
championship leader Shane Byrne, and Snetterton race winner Leon Camier
in action before the Airwaves Ducati team heads to Knockhill for round
8 of the British Superbike series.
Having taken part in the event previously, Shane Byrne is looking
forward to returning to entertain the spectators once again saying,
“I’ve got some really good memories of the event last year, the crowds
in Glasgow were fantastic so I can’t wait to do it all again on the
Airwaves Ducati. It’s a great way for us to open up our sport to new
audiences and I hope everyone there will continue to follow the
championship and the Airwaves Ducati team for the rest of the season.”
For team mate Leon Camier this will be his first ever ‘Superbikes in
the Square’. “I’ve heard some great stories of last year’s event so I
can’t wait to experience it for myself. I’m really looking forward to
getting back on the Airwaves Ducati and putting on a good show for the
fans.”
Round 8 of the British Superbike Championship takes place on Sunday 10th August.
