Large Grids and Live Music at POWERnights this Thursday |

On Thursday 21 August the next POWERnights will be held at Silverstone. As well as ten action packed races with over 110 race cars taking part, there will also be plenty to see and do off track with live music, a pitstop challenge, a Scalextric drift challenge and a text to win competition where visitors can win a Scalextric Power Slide set by supporting their favourite driver.
POWERnights provides great motor racing entertainment from 5.30pm with 10 back-to-back races from 5 different race groups, followed by the Awards Ceremony in the race paddock with hot & cold catering available until 10pm and live music by Northamptonshire band Soul Convention, who recently played to critical acclaim at the Silverstone Classic. On track each of the five race groups will race twice and with packed grids there is going to be nonstop action from 5:30 until the final chequered flag drops three hours later. The groups include, Invitation Formula Fords, Invitation Mazda MX5s, Invitation MR2s, Invitation Open Saloons and Invitation Open Sports. While there are entries from all over the UK, there will be plenty of local drivers for fans from Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire to support. Gates open at 2pm and everyone arriving between 2pm and 5pm will be able to park their cars in the centre of the circuit, after 5pm public car parking will be in the main car park by the main gate.
