A completely new layout for the world’s biggest
motorsport show will see the Karting Show located at the heart of Autosport
International 2009, 8-11 January at the NEC, Birmingham. Further to the introduction of a
new floorplan, the show is sure to attract a high number of karters with all
MSA karting licence holders under 16 to receive free entry.
The new layout will ease visitors’
navigation of Autosport International and see the Karting Show located in Hall
6 adjacent to the popular Historic Hall as well as the National Motorsport
area, which attracts thousands of visitors looking to take their first step
into motor racing. The Karting Show’s new location will benefit from a
steady flow of visitors en route to the 5,500 seater Live Action Arena which
will host one show on Thursday 8 January, two on Friday and six performances a
day on Saturday and Sunday.
Companies exhibiting within the Karting Show
will be able to take advantage of the 28,000 trade buyers and 56,000 motorsport
enthusiasts visiting Autosport International. With visitors travelling to the
NEC Birmingham from 58 countries, this presents a unique opportunity for
manufacturers, championship organisers, circuit operators and retailers to do
business on a scale unprecedented in the UK. To further aid that purpose,
all Karting Show exhibitors will be given an allocation of free guest tickets
for their key existing and prospective customers, so they can make the most of
their presence at the show.
Ian France, Show Director for Autosport International, said:
“Since its inception 19 years ago, Autosport International has always
catered for the karting community, recognising its importance as the foundation
of the motorsport industry where the future stars of motorsport are born. Just
as Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button attended the show in the past looking for
their chance to succeed in the sport, we hope that other talented karters will
join us at the NEC Birmingham in January.
“We are pleased to announce a new complimentary
ticket promotion available to all MSA karting competition licence holders under
16 and we will also continue to offer complimentary tickets to active
competitors in two of the UK's
top championships - BRDC Stars of Tomorrow and the Super One Series. Guest
invitations will also be available to Karting Show exhibitors to further ensure
that karting has the presence it deserves at Autosport International.”
