Menasheh Idafar made his second Formula 3 test outing at Pembrey Circuit
yesterday, Monday, 29th September, where he rejoined Carlin Motorsport for
another run in one of the team’s British F3 International Series National Class
cars.
Following on from his Formula 3 test debut with Carlin at the South Wales
venue exactly four weeks ago, the British-born Bahraini took the opportunity to
run with the Hampshire based squad once more and completed around 120 laps at
the wheel of a Mugen-Honda powered Dallara.
Enjoying a fully dry day of testing throughout, Menasheh re-adapted very
well indeed to the demands of F3 – having most recently been racing a Formula
Renault BARC car and testing a Formula Renault UK variant too – and he lapped
with very encouraging pace.
British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Rising Star Matt Shawyer, who
accompanied the 17-year-old to yesterday’s test run, commented: “It was a very
good day, Menasheh was able to learn more about Formula 3 and ran competitively.
There were no problems at all, he did a very good job.”
Now returning to his regular Hillspeed-run Formula Renault BARC car,
Menasheh will take part in pre-event testing on Friday, 3rd October, ahead of
the weekend’s 11th and 12th rounds of the 2008 Formula Renault BARC Championship
on 4th/5th October
