ZESTY ZUKANOVIC STEALS GLORY

A first corner incident for fastest qualifier Daniel Richert was all Marcus Zukanovic needed to not only take over the lead of the first race of the fourth round of the Ebanc Trade Australian Commodore Cup, but to go on and claim all three races at Mallala Motorsport Park yesterday.

After a stunning last gasp successful bid for pole position, it all turned pear-shaped for Richert. He was beaten off the line at the start of race one, was almost turned around at turn one, went into the back of Christian D’Agostin in turn nine and spun. To cap it off he was then slapped with a drive through penalty as he was deemed to have jumped the start.

While all this was going on Zukanovic assumed the lead
