The 2007 Australian Formula Ford Championship will be boosted with the early announcement that Trent Ulmer will drive for Cee-Line Motorsport in a 2006 Duratec-engined Spectrum.

Formed last year, Cee-Line Motorsport and Ulmer will make their national series debut and will look to hit the ground running in the championship that has continually produced champions of the ilk of Mark Webber, Craig Lowndes and Marcos Ambrose.

Cee Line Motorsport was formed early in 2005 to bring together as a team the professional engineering and management expertise of ENGMAN Engineering, the engine and car preparation skills of Marion Motors Motorsport, and the driving talents of Trent Ulmer.

"We are confident that the team will be very competitive with our new car in the 2007 Australian Formula Ford Championship," Cee-Line Motorsport Team Manager Trevor Pound said yesterday.

Ulmer, 26, is a professional advanced driving instructor and has 18 years continuous race driving experience.

Starting in Go-Karts from age 8, Ulmer has progressed through Super Karts, Formula Vee, GTP Production, and Formula Vee 1600 as well as having a number of rounds in state level Formula Ford, with funding preventing further racing.

After joining Cee-Line Motorsport Formula Ford team in mid 2005, Ulmer demonstrated his ability by winning the Formula Ford "hard charger" award at the A1 Grand Prix of Nations event at Eastern Creek and will now focus his energies on competing against the some of the countries most talented racing drivers.

Professional engineering support to the team is provided by ENGMAN Engineering, and the car preparation is undertaken by Marion Motors Motorsport.
