YOUNG GUNS SET TO MAKE FORMULA RENAULT IMPACT

Formula Renault BARC looks set to produce a crop of top British racing drivers with eight young guns showing the potential needed to establish themselves as top single-seater racers. Six teenagers currently occupy spots in the top seven places in the FR2000 Class standings with this year’s title race destined to go to the final race at Brands Hatch, which will be held in front of thousands of fans attending the BTCC meeting and be televised by ITV.

Among the eight are 2006 race-winners Richard Singleton, 17, James Littlejohn, 18 and Jordan Oakes, who turns 17 on 22nd June. Just behind Oakes in the Championship standings are three drivers with podium finishes to their name this season, Tom Arme, 16,
