BRATT AIMING FOR TOP SIX ON GRID AT THRUXTON
Scorpio Motorsport’s Will Bratt declared himself satisfied following today’s official Formula Renault UK test session at Thruxton ahead of the fifth and sixth rounds of the season which take place at the Hampshire venue this weekend, 3rd/4th June.
As one of a quartet of drivers to have tasted victory so far this season, the 18-year-old from Adderbury in Oxon goes into the third race meeting of the year fourth overall in the championship standings. But while aiming to continue its terrific start to the season, the whole Scorpio team knows tomorrow’s qualifying session will be of utmost importance.
Unfortunately for Will the first 45 minutes of testing this morning were compromised due to a brake problem with his car, resulting in a quickest lap of 1m 11.286 seconds (118.98mph) which placed him 14th on the timesheets.
During this afternoon’s second period of testing, with the brake issue having been rectified, Will managed to improve his time by setting a lap of 1m 11.151 seconds (119.20mph) which saw him classified as the eighth fastest driver.
